Meghan Callahan has nearly 20 years of California political public affairs experience and is a veteran of high-profile statewide public affairs, ballot measure and issue campaigns. She has been involved in strategy, message development, ally recruitment and engagement, digital campaigns and general issue and campaign management for diverse issues and industries.

Meghan combines her understanding of politics and ability to bring people together to develop both campaign-specific and longer-term public affairs strategies for clients. She has extensive experience managing large, multi-faceted public affairs efforts that require the team to be tightly coordinated. She excels breaking down complicated issues into compelling messages and communicating them to key audiences and influencers to help her clients achieve their policy objectives.

Meghan’s ballot initiative experience includes managing outreach and day-to-day operations for many of California’s ballot initiative campaigns including No on 21 (rent control) No on 10 (rent control), No on 61 (prescription drug pricing), No on 37 (GMO labeling), No on 23 (clean energy), No on 98/Yes on 99 (eminent domain), No on 90 Campaign (eminent domain/regulatory takings), Yes on 1A (local government funding), Yes on 55 (school bond) and others.

Additionally, Meghan has worked extensively on legislative coalitions managing the activity and engagement of coalitions in support of public policy objectives. She works closely with clients to maximize their existing grassroots infrastructure, or to help create a grassroots infrastructure if one doesn’t exist.

Before starting her own firm, Meghan was a Vice President at Bicker, Castillo & Fairbanks where she managed many statewide public affairs efforts for clients. She also worked for the California Building Industry Association doing government and public affairs.
